About Mehdi

From inside organizations to beside the leader.

My practice grew from a long career in HR and people leadership, then deepened through professional coaching.

What shaped the practice

Three disciplines. One way of seeing the work.

01

Learning from inside the system

Years in HR and people leadership made organizational consequence impossible to ignore. A decision about one leader can affect a team, a capability, a cost, a relationship and the way work gets done. The person matters—and so does the system that makes some choices easier than others.

02

Learning to stay beside the person

Professional coaching changed the centre of gravity. Instead of rushing to diagnose or advise, the work protects enough space for a leader to examine assumptions, hear their own thinking and make a choice they can genuinely own. More than 700 coaching hours have reinforced how demanding that discipline can be.

03

Holding both without blurring them

The practice now brings these perspectives together while keeping the roles distinct. Coaching, advice and facilitation are named rather than mixed. The aim is not to make every problem an individual development issue, or every human question a systems exercise. It is to find the level at which useful work can begin.

The path

Coaching depth. Organizational context.

For more than 15 years, I worked across industrial, FMCG, digital and financial-services environments. The work placed people decisions next to business constraints, operating choices and organizational consequences.

Coaching added another discipline: staying with the person long enough for deeper thinking, greater awareness and genuine choice to emerge.

Today I bring both perspectives to the work. I pay attention to the individual conversation without losing the role, system and relationships around it.

Practice foundations

Credibility is useful when it changes the quality of the work.

How I tend to work

Slow the diagnosis. Protect the conversation. Keep the business reality visible.

Stay curious

The first description of a problem is important, but it is not always the problem to solve.

Name the mode

Coaching, advice and facilitation serve different purposes and should not be blurred.

Trace the idea

Public thinking should show whether it comes from practice, research, a source or reflection.
